Dickenson County Technology ParkThe Workforce Investment Board provides services to dislocated workers, the under-employed, displaced homemakers, recipients of public assistance, individuals training for non-traditional employment, older workers, disabled individuals, veterans and unemployment insurance claimants.
We work with employers who need workers, labor market information and/or assistance from the one-stop delivery system.
Employers include, but are not limited to: Coastal Coal Company, Northrop Grumman, B.A. Mullican Lumber, Tempur Productions, CGI, Norton Community Hospital, Dickenson County Medical Center, Clinch Valley Medical Center, etc.
Some of these employers provide customized on-the-job training for participants with limited skills or work experience.

Virginia Workforce Network Sites

The four affiliate centers are centrally located in the Area 1 to conveniently meet the needs of job seekers and the employment needs of area businesses. The following sites have been chosen for workforce center locations in Area One.
